The western and southern bears continued their barge rides to their Natl Championship game rematch with sterling efforts yesterday.
The Golden Bears of Berkeley held Utah to five PATs and zero KO return yardage. Forced to the air and ground, the Utes scratched out only 0.27 miles of offense vs the Yogi D. Meanwhile, ursine hurler Spencer Brasch completed 7 passes for 47 yards in only 19 attempts, many of them past the line of scrimmage as the Bears added offensive wrinkles at scenic Rice-Eccles stadium.
On the road at Idle College, the southern bears of Ole Miss held off a late rally to notch the Belts 6-0 when PK Luke Logan rushed for a TD on a fake FG from the Idle one. The two point conversation failed against the blitzing Gossip defense in this coldbed of college football. The Ole Miss victory drive continues Saturday night at Auburn. Idle jets to Berkeley to face Cal.
