I’ve been a hardcore Vol fan for over 50 years.
And I’ve always said and thought that I wanted us to win fair and square without cheating.
No paying players. No performance enhancement drugs. No thugs. No giving away grades to keep players eligible.
But, GaState did me in.
I’m now too old to want a choir boy team that can win championships.
Those days are gone, if they ever really existed.
I say we get as much deer antler spray and other steroids and peds as we can.
I say we send a bagman along with every recruiter on visits to reel in 4 and 5 stars.
I say we pay off the police and media not to report semi thuggish behavior (with exception of rape/physical assaults).
I say our Administration sets up an “easy A” curriculum with several paid off, bought in, UT professors.
I don’t say this with pride.
In fact, I say it out of desperation and humiliation because of what my beloved Vol program has become.
I know this makes me a bad human being.
But, it is what it is. I will sell my soul for our program to become at least relevant again.
