🌋BIGJOE would yell “THAT SUNUVABITCH” I remember that game well. I was actually watching it with BIGJOE. Neither of us could believe the announcers missed Woody Hayes (pbuh) punching the Clemson player in the throat. Or as BIGJOE put it “THAT SUNAVABUTCH PUNCHED
THAT CLEMSON PLAYER RIGHT IN THE GODDAM THOAT” (He did not exactly pronounce it THOAT but also he didn’t say THROAT it also wasn’t the infantile w for r lisp either that I sometimes exhibit.) “THOSE SILLY JACKASSES MISSED THAT SUNUVABITCH PUNCHING THAT LINEBACKER RIGHT IN THE THOAT”
He was already pissed off cause that other SUNUVABITCH Charley Pell had quit Clemson to go to UF. He didn’t like Pell to begin with cause he had jacked around my now brother in law (the other brother in law) by reneging on a football scholarship to Jax State. In all events BIGJOE liked Clemson disliked Pell and thought it extremely disloyal and contrary to his duty as a coach to leave before season was out. So he was hoping that Danny Ford would put an ass whupping on THAT SUNUVABITCH.
Every time Woody’s face would appear on screen “THAT SUNUVABITCH” AUMemé would say “Honey...language” and he would reply “THEY KEEP PUTTING THAT SUNUVABITCH ON THE SCREEN—NOBODY WANTS TO SEE THAT SUNUVABITCH —LOOKIT THAT SUNUVABITCH”
I am telling you hatred of Woody Hayes kept heating bills low in the JOE MILLER household. And holding a grudge keeps the memory sharp.
