He told me last year a story that I had never heard. Why he chose Auburn over Florida. At the time he signed, he was the highest rated star to sign a basketball scholarship with Auburn.
"I was going to Florida. I loved Monte Towe, he was great and recruited me. Then I go to a practice and saw coach Sloan yelling and cussing players like crazy. I thought, I don't want to be yelled at like that so I started rethinking it. Then I get back to Kissimmee and my mom told me she was so excited I was going to be in Gainesville because she could visit every weekend and even come during the week. That sealed it, I said I'm going to Auburn."
