First Super Regional appearance since 1999 (same year the Super Regionals were introduced); first Super Regional win ever. Had a chance to beat arguably the best team in college baseball. Competitive throughout the season. Ranked in the top 25 most of the year; in the top 10 a couple of weeks. Started 19-2 before SEC play started. Pretty good pitching and really good hitting overall.
This team is young (Top 5 class last year) and made young team mistakes throughout the year. If those can be overcome, and we can restock on pitchers, we will be competitive again next year. Looking forward to seeing baseball continuing to improve and hope we can get to Omaha in the next year or two.
