She came out as a lesbian and Rick of Rick and Bubba fame doesn't seem to be too happy.

Rick- "I told you before and I'll say it again you're my daughter and I will always love you. But I love you enough to tell you the truth. I'm not going to come up with some version of love that really isn't love at all, that pats you on the back to justify you all the way to hell."

She wrote this on al.com- http://www.al.com/opinion/index.ssf/2017/01/brandi_burgess_bisexual_daught.html

Peter Berger points out that the broader religious culture in America is emotive and non cognitive in nature.  This is especially true in the south.  The absence of content has reduced Christianity to Christian-ish and replaced observing all Christ commanded with "feeling good about Jesus".

There are reasons why Matters of sexuality are the business of God and some behaviors put one outside of genuine Christianity.  But other behaviors do as well.  The radio person in question, whose show is unfamiliar to me, is failing his daughter and the Savior and should keep his mouth shut.

Ego and a flattering audience do not mean you are the best spokesman on delicate and complex matters.

“Cheap grace is the grace we bestow on ourselves. Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession.... Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.”    ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
