He is being discharged tomorrow! ! Will be six weeks old......this child has had major surgery on his intestines, surgey to attach a permanent G-line to his stomach and Central line to his chest, a cystoscopy, 3 barium x-rays, internal scopes, catheters, test after test after test, x-rays, etc....been poked, prodded, pricked and God knows what else.....
And still he is a happy, thriving, now 10 lb tough little Grandmonkey.....
I cant put into words how joyous this is, to finally have him home. Like I said last week, Alex still has challenges, but he is getting there slowly but surely.
We still have the genetic test results to wait for and probably more surgery, but for now Alex will be home. Life is good.
