Education is an easy major and a low pressure job.
Hence it pays less. It isn't that we don't value it but the free market allocates scarce resources on price, and people that can solve technical problems, manage people, and produce in a high pressure environment where compliance with a myriad of safety and environmental regulations is critical and the company has to make a profit - those people are scarce.==============================
Easy major and low pressure? You don't think teachers have to deal with pressure, managing people, forced to perform with limited resources while dealing with onerous regulations?
