At this point...
I have to wonder. Do people think not allowing gheys to marry will make them less ghey? Do they somehow feel that denying people equal protection under law make them better Christians? Do these same people cast stones at remarried divorcees? I mean, that is technically adultery unless the divorce was under the terms specified. These are the same arsehats that scream they are being oppressed, while bending over backwards to oppress others.
I mean, let it go.

It is a false belief that one form of sexual practice the Bible opposes is worse than other forms the Bible opposes. People who won the day on SSM in the public viewpoint did so by standing -- unintentionally -- on the Bible and saying same-sex promiscuity and heterosexual promiscuity are the same thing. They are correct. Since Americans have been taught to believe adultery, promiscuity etc are OK then it was a short step to take. The argument that casually held marriage vows and easy divorce have done much more to harm marriage than legalization of SSM is 100% correct.
That said I maintain my same belief system along with the others who inhabit my shrinking island.
