"The Blizzard of '16" started yesterday around 4 p.m. We're at double digits this morning with 24 hours to go. Heard some thundersnow around 6 a.m. this morning. Woke up and let the dogs in the backyard. It was up to their back. I'll have to dig them some snow latrines today. I have enough gunpowder to keep the wolves at bay and enough salted pork, corn meal and dried beans to last me and Ma, I reckon.
