but the reality is that I am where I'm at today . . . whatever success you might consider me to be . . . because of Auburn academics. It was not the football program that took a naive, ignorant child of a borderline poor household and provided him with a chance to be something more. I'm sure the football program does that for a small amount of kids. But Auburn, the University, does that for so many more and does not leave as much carnage in its wake.
I believe in Auburn and love it (with or without football). But there are some people associated with Auburn that I don't believe in nor do I love them.
It's time we got our #badword# together for the good of those poor, ignorant, naive kids coming along today and tomorrow.
