Seriously, does anybody besides me...
ever sit during a game like the AU-A&M game or the Bama-LSU game, ) and go.."I really wish I didn't take this so serious. I'm so nervous that this isn't even fun."
Seriously, if I would just stop caring about football, 3/4 of my aggravation about life would go away.
Another thing, does anybody here ever notice that you handle the nerves of a game better watching it at the stadium or with others than you do alone?==============================
It's to late for me though . . . to many days off in the woods with my Dad, Donald Ray Love (a bammer), and the rest of the boys listening to the Auburn and Alabama games on the truck radio while cutting wood. To many memories tied up with games of the past . . . good and bad . . . though they all seem to get better or easier with age. To much pride being the standard bearer of the family . . . the only one to go to college, the cow college. To many days sitting beside Lou Duck on Duck hill and now sitting in his chair. It's to late for me. It really doesn't matter any more . . . oh I want them to win . . . but there is so much more tied up in it . . . so much beyond my control. I often contemplate what you are suggesting . . . but you can't unmake who you are even if you might want it.
I am Auburn. Full speed ahead.
